Agent: Chelsea DID offer £70M for Real Madrid's Raul

The agent of Real Madrid skipper Raul has confirmed Chelsea made a £70 million bid for the striker.

Raul is in contract talks with Real about extending his deal to 2010 after Chelsea attempted to sign the Spanish international in August.

"Raul is ready to re-sign, because he wants to re-sign, although it is certain that Chelsea offered Real Madrid £70 million for him," confirmed his agent Gines Carvajal yesterday.
