Agent: Ballack open to Real Madrid offer

The agent of Bayern Munich midfielder Michael Ballack has refused to rule out a move to Real Madrid for the German international.
 
Ballack is being considered by Real GM Arrigo Sacchi ahead of the summer market as he seeks to strengthen the team's midfield next season.

"Everything is possible. He has contract until 2006, but it would not be very intelligent on the part of Bayern to hope that he fulfills it because next year he will be able to leave for nothing," Ballack's agent, Michael Becker, told AS.

"Ballack knows that he is going to sign his last great contract. I do not know any player who would not like to play for Real Madrid."

"Although I recognize that neither Florentino (Perez), nor Sacchi nor (Vanderlei) Luxemburgo have contacted me. It would be a complicated operation, but everything is possible."

Becker also revealed that Barcelona tried for Ballack last year.

"It is true that Barcelona tried to sign him, but Bayern did not want to lose the player back then. The circumstances now are different."
