After Depor defeat, Benitez says: Valencia should have won 4-0

Valencia trainer Rafa Benitez insists his team should have won "4-0" after yesterday's 1-0 defeat by Deportivo La Coruna.

Depor keeper Juanmi was in inspired form and held a dominant Valencia at bay almost single-handedly after Roy Makaay's first-half goal.

"The game clearly was dominated by Valencia," said Benitez.

"The superiority has been so great that the game could have finished 4-0."

He added, "The important thing is that we played very well. The title won't be decided until the last seven games."

Depor trainer Javier Irureta said, "It was a courageous performance by us. There was a lot of pressure, but we held out."

"Juanmi was fantastic - as was the entire defence."
