AEK Athens sign Real Madrid defender David Mateos

AEK Athens have announced the signing of Real Madrid defender David Mateos.

The 23 year-old joins AEK on-loan to the end of the season, having also attracted interest from Scottish giants Celtic.

AEK are coached by Spaniard Manolo Jimenez, who was in charge of Sevilla last season.

Mateos joins AEK just days after they struck a deal for Birmingham City midfielder Michel.
