AC Milan tracking Real Madrid defender Samuel

Real Madrid defender Walter Samuel is being linked with AC Milan.
 
The Argentina international has not settled in the La Liga, picking up three red cards, and has already been linked with a move back to Italy with Inter or Juventus.

Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani is seeking to lower the average age of the club's defence with Marcos Cafu, Paolo Maldini, Jaap Stam, Giuseppe Pancaro and Billy Costacurta all well over 30.

Samuel is harbouring hopes of a return to Italy and would jump at the opportunity to play for a club like Milan which are regular challengers for the Scudetto and Champions League.
