AC Milan target Real Madrid veteran Carvalho

AC Milan are ready to bid for Real Madrid defender Ricardo Carvalho.

The Portuguese veteran is viewed at Real as a short-term replacement for Thiago Silva, now of PSG.

Carvalho has only featured in the Copa del Rey this season and the opportunity to clear his €4.5 million salary off the books will be welcomed by Real.
