AC Milan, Real Madrid ponder move for Man City skipper Kompany

AC Milan are interested in Manchester City skipper Vincent Kompany.

The Belgium international has established himself as one of Europe's best young centre-halves and Italian sources say his progress has alerted the attention of Milan.

Real Madrid are also being mentioned as suitors, with coach Jose Mourinho needing to find a long-term successor to veteran Ricardo Carvalho.
