AC Milan offer Sheva £1M to give Beckham his No7 shirt

AC Milan have told Manchester United star David Beckham he can have the club's No7 shirt.

The Sun says Milan are so keen to snatch the England skipper they have offered Andrei Shevchenko £1 million to give up his number.

The Ukrainian's agent, Fabio Parisi said: "He'd have a real problem with losing it, just as David Beckham would have a problem with losing the No7 shirt to a new player at Manchester United."

"Andrei's contract says he must have the No7 shirt."

A club source also said: "We want to keep Shevchenko but realise he will be very reluctant to give up his squad number."

"It's a difficult situation but we are prepared to dig deep to find a resolution."
