AC Milan convinced Real Madrid will cave over Baptista

AC Milan have left their last offer for Real Madrid attacker Julio Baptista on the table for transfer deadline day today.

Real are demanding £12 million for the Brazil international, but Milan will only consider a season-long loan with the option to make the move permanent next June.

Milan's offer is £1.5 million for the loan and £8 million to sign Baptista outright. Despite Real's insistence, Milan directors remain quietly confident the Spanish club will do business before midnight.
