AC Milan chief: We'll talk to Real Madrid about Emerson

AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani admits they will approach Real Madrid for midfielder Emerson at the end of the Spanish Liga season.

"We're looking to strengthen the centre of midfield and obviously Emerson is a name that has come up," said Galliani. "We will only contact Real Madrid at the end of this season."

"If we can't find someone, perhaps we could recall (Massimo) Donati or (Paolo) Sammarco."

Meanwhile, Galliani also revealed: "We did consider (Juventus goalkeeper Gigi) Buffon and discussed him seriously. But once Dida signed his contract we stopped everything else."
