AC Mian chief: Real Madrid asked too much for Ronaldo

AC Milan chief Umberto Gandini has revealed they're planning a striker signing in January.

Gandini said yesterday: "We have not yet made a decision on how to fill up the hole created after the departure of (Andriy) Shevchenko."

"We have several attacking options on the market. In August we have tried to take Ronaldo, but the demands from Real Madrid were too rich and I do not know if it can be an objective also for the next season."

Gandini has also excluded the sale of Kaka: "He's an extraordinary player, is not in sale and will remain with us."
