€90 million-rated striker would leave Premier League only for Real Madrid

The summer transfer window usually harbors the most confusing months in the world of football.

With its commencement, stories of players changing loyalties, managers being shown the door and unanticipated departures will steal the headlines week in and week out.

Yet, the volatile period appears to have arrived in Madrid early. Real Madrid still have a game left to play this season and already find themselves in a state of frenzy.

The Spanish giants had a clear idea of their approach to the summer window last month. Jude Bellingham was going to be their star signing, while the right-back, left-back and right-wing positions were seen as other departments in need of reinforcements.

Out of the blue reports of Karim Benzema’s departure took the Spanish capital by storm. After all, the management were suddenly under pressure to replace one of the team’s best players with less than two months intimation.

The Merengues’ search for a new striker took them to Tottenham Hotspurs, and Harry Kane quickly emerged as a possible option to replace the departing Frenchman.

According to reports from Toni Juanmarti (h/t Madrid Xtra), the English striker has a big desire to play for Real Madrid. He does not wish to leave the Premier League but would make an exception if Los Blancos make an approach.

The England captain is undoubtedly one of the best strikers in world football and would fit well into Carlo Ancelotti’s dynamics. However, Florentino Perez has other ideas as hopes to sign one of Erling Haaland or Kylian Mbappe next summer. Thus, the objective -if Benzema leaves- would be to sign a low-cost alternative.

Moreover, the Ballon d’Or winner’s continuity could potentially take a U-turn, as the French forward hinted at staying for another season.
