£8M agent fee has Real Madrid convinced Robinho theirs

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is happy to play a waiting game with Santos over the signing of winger Robinho.
 
Perez has assured club partners that Robinho will be their player before the summer transfer window shuts, despite Santos president Marcelo Teixeira's hardline stance over the player's transfer fee.

The Real supremo has an agreement with Robinho's agent, Juan Figer, that guarantees he will move only to Madrid. In the last two months, Arsenal, Chelsea and Juventus have all made offers to Figer, but an agreement has been in place with Real Madrid since November.

Indeed, it's emerged that if Robinho leaves Santos for another club, Real Madrid will be handed a cool £8 million, straight from Figer's own pocket. This deal is also approved by Robinho's other agent, Wagner Ribeiro.

Meanwhile, as Perez has told club partners that Robinho's signing "could be tomorrow, or could be in a month's time", intermediaries were quoted yesterday stating an announcement was "imminent".
