80-plus journos welcome new Real Madrid coach Capello

New Real Madrid coach Fabio Capello was taken aback by his welcome at Madrid airport yesterday afternoon.
 
The Italian was greeted by over 80 journalists as he touched down at 5pm following talks in Turin over a release from his Juventus contract.

Capello will formally sign his three-year Real contract today at 11am before being presented to the local media by president Ramon Calderon at noon.

"I've come here to work from day one," Capello said yesterday at the airport. "I'm very happy to be back in Madrid and back with Real Madrid."

Asked about his interest in AC Milan midfielder Kaka, Capello replied: "It's still too soon. Let's just get down to work and these things will take their due course."

Capello brings to Real four of his former Juve backroom team.
