€15 million-rated Real Madrid defender in line to start vs Las Palmas

As revealed by Mundo Deportivo, Real Madrid’s recent comeback win over Almeria could well serve as the trigger that brings Garcia back into the starting XI.

Mendy started on the night at the Santiago Bernabeu and did not earn himself any favours with his performance. With the team looking out of shape, he was taken off at half-time and replaced with Garcia by the manager.

From there on, the Spanish defender, whose market value stands at €15 million, dished out an impressive performance. His attacking output was critical in Real Madrid’s comeback in many ways, earning him the manager’s trust once more.

According to the Spanish outlet, Fran Garcia is thus the favourite to start at left-back against Las Palmas tomorrow. After all, the opposition is known to be one of Spain’s most fit and well-drilled units.

Las Palmas, Granada, Atletico Madrid and Girona are the team’s next four league oppositions, and securing twelve out of twelve points in those outings would virtually guarantee the title as per the administration’s calculation.
