Real Madrid superstar Vinicius Jr sent a message to the fans at the Santiago Bernabeu after the win over Barcelona, talking about what transpired during the match on Sunday.
He said: "A message to all Madridistas, especially those who came to the Bernabeu and supported us passionately: This is how El Clásico is, there are many things happening on and off the pitch."
"We try to maintain balance, but that’s not always possible. We don’t want to offend anyone, neither the young players nor the fans."
"We know that when we step onto the pitch, we have to play our role, and that’s how it was today. Hala Madrid!"
Vinicius Jr was a huge influence in Real Madrid’s crucial win over Barcelona on Sunday, and even though he did not register a goal or assist, his performance was impactful in more ways than one.
There were a few bits of controversy during the Clasico, but Vinicius Jr and Co. came out on top at the end, and will now focus on the games against Valencia and Liverpool in the next 10 days.
