Pellegrini: Scoreline Does Not Reflect Real Madrid's Dominance Of Atletico Madrid

After witnessing his side's dramatic win over Atletico Madrid, Manuel Pellegrini expressed his pleasure at the performance.

Los Merengues looked set for a comfortable win when they took a 3-0 lead, but late goals saw the match end 3-2. Speaking to Marca after the game, Pellegrini said, "We have to improve a lot, because we had many ups and downs."

"I have a very good feeling with this squad. The final scoreboard does not reflect the reality of the match."

"In the first half, Atletico barely caused us any danger, and in the second, we controlled the game until Ramos' sending off."

Pellegrini then talked about the need for rotations, continuing, "Our team consists of 23 players, not 11."

"We will continue making the necessary rotations."

"We are adapting to a new system."
