Real Madrid keeper Casillas accepts red card
Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas accepted his dismissal yesterday in the 1-0 win at Osasuna.
The Spanish international was dismissed with ten minutes remaining after collecting his second yellow card, but Real managed to hang on for three points thanks to Julio Baptista's successful penalty.
"The sending off was right," said Casillas. "I had to think and act very quickly, but it is important to already forget about it."
"We can win with me or without me and that is the important thing because today we battled hard against Osasuna."
"I have already been sent-off in the Copa del Rey, but it is necessary to accept it because this happens in football."
"The first card I think there was room for it to be excused, but for the second it was clear because I sent the ball very far away in order to recover my position as quickly as possible."
