Real Madrid hero shows his class with AMAZING Karim Benzema gesture
Cristiano Ronaldo showed his class during Real Madrid's 4-0 win over Alaves.
The Portuguese star is enjoying a purple patch in front of goal after starting the season slowly.
Madrid won their fifth game in a row at the Bernabeu on Saturday, with Ronaldo netting twice.
His brace means he has now hit 300 goals for Real Madrid in La Liga, apparently.
Despite the confusion around whether he has hit the landmark or not, Ronaldo still showed his class in the closing stages.
With the game at 3-0, Gareth Bale went down in the area to win his side a penalty.
The entirety of the stadium believed Ronaldo would step up to potentially score his 50th career hat-trick and his 44th for Los Blancos.
However, the former Manchester United star gave the spot-kick to Karim Benzema to score his fourth goal of the season.
The Frenchman has been struggling for form this term but may now enjoy an easier business end to the campaign.
Speaking after the match, goalkeeper Keylor Navas praised Ronaldo for his gesture.
"Cristiano's gesture speaks volumes for the type of team this is and how he is as a person," he said.
"We're all pulling in the same direction and we have to show our unity more than ever."
"We're thrilled with Karim's goal, as team-mates, we have to stick together."
"We're always going to fight for each other and while there is a lot of talk about Karim at the moment, we have to support one another."
