Real Madrid have faced an unforgiving schedule in 2025 with 22 matches in 71 days

Real Madrid have been going through an extremely demanding schedule in 2025, with report from Ok Diario stating that the team has played 22 matches in just 71 days, averaging one game every 3.23 days.

The relentless run began on 3 January against Valencia and continued until 15 March, when they faced Villarreal.

During this period, Carlo Ancelotti’s side has competed in La Liga, the Champions League, the Copa del Rey, and the Spanish Super Cup.

This exhausting calendar is an extension of an already hectic season that started on 14 August 2024 with the UEFA Super Cup against Atalanta.

Since then, Real Madrid have played 48 matches across five competitions in 213 days, leaving the players with little time to rest and recover.

The lack of breaks has resulted in significant physical strain on the squad, leading to multiple injuries.

Long-term absences of key players like Dani Carvajal and Eder Militao, coupled with various muscle-related issues across the team, have made things even more challenging.

Despite these setbacks, Real Madrid remain highly competitive. They are still fighting for the La Liga title, hold an advantage in the Copa del Rey semi-final against Real Sociedad, and are set to face Arsenal in Champions League.

If they continue progressing, Los Blancos could play up to 17 more matches before the Club World Cup, provided they reach both the Champions League and Copa del Rey finals.

Although winning a treble remains a difficult task, it is still within reach.

Meanwhile, apart from all this, the Club World Cup is an important objective for Real Madrid, not only for its prestige but also for the financial benefits it brings.

The club aims to generate over €100 million from the competition, making it a key milestone.

Despite the physically demanding season, Ancelotti’s squad remains focused on securing multiple trophies and proving their resilience in the face of adversity.
