Real Madrid are plotting attacking signings next summer, with Manchester City wide man Savinho now emerges on their radar.
According to Caught Offside, Manchester City would be bothered by an interest from Real Madrid in their winger Savinho. The Br azilian had only arrived at the Etihad last summer, as the Spanish giants could make their admiration known to the player ahead of next summer.
Some sections have criticised Savinho for his inability to become a key component of Pep Guardiola’s side. Manchester City has struggled for relevance this season as they endured a torrid run of many games, where they only had a victory or two to show for their cause.
Savinho was one of those criticised for his lack of application and, certainly, his inability to score goals. In fact, in a recent fixture against Leicester City, the 20-year-old Manchester City attacker got his first strike for the club, although he does have six assists to show for his cause in all competitions.
In any case, the Manchester City hierarchy has faith in the Br azilian attacker, as they view him as a key cog for the future. At only 20, Savinho has a long career ahead of him, as there are expectations from the fans for the winger to reach the levels shown by former star Riyad Mahrez.
Manchester City are not planning to entertain any talk of a move for the 20-year-old, as there are links to Real Madrid ahead of next summer. The Premier League champions will make it difficult for any interested club to sign a player like Savinho. However, they might also be ready to offload if their price demands are met.
Manchester City are a club known to sell their players for the right price, as seen last summer with the Julian Alvarez case. As for Savinho, they do not have any interest in offloading the winger, although Real Madrid’s attention could divert the player’s thinking.
Savinho has had his first taste of Spanish football with a highly successful season with Girona, and Real Madrid has held an admiration from that point onwards. However, they will also be mindful of the price point that Manchester City might demand, although they will be willing to invest the right amount should the Br azilian be made available.
