Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas is preparing for Gareth Bale to be sold to Real Madrid.
The People says AVB is resigned to losing Bale and is becoming increasingly frustrated at not being able to line up a mega-signing to replace the Welsh wizard.
As soon as Bale goes, the Spurs manager is ready to make a sensational attempt to hijack Luis Suarez’s proposed move from Liverpool to north London rivals Arsenal.
AVB believes the money should be used to snare Suarez to form a deadly partnership with Spaniard Robert Soldado, signed from Valencia for £26m.
Arsenal still have the advantage over their bitter local rivals in being able to offer Suarez Champions League football, and it is thought the South American would prefer to join Arsene Wenger’s stars.
But Tottenham will be in a strong financial position once they sell double footballer of the year Bale – and will have the ability to offer Liverpool more than Arsenal, who have bid £40m for Suarez.
