Real Madrid have advantage on Man City for Benfica defender David Luiz

Real Madrid have the inside-running for Benfica defender David Luiz.

Diario de Noticias says Benfica were willing to sell Luiz for €20 million in January, but are now demanding closer to €30 million.

Luiz's price has risen with Barcelona and Manchester City rivaling Real for the Br azilian.

However, the Madrid giants have an advantage thanks to negotiating first refusal for Luiz during the sale of Javi Garcia and Javier Saviola in the summer.
