Levante scored after 13 minutes when Gustavo Reggi pounced on a poor defensive header back to the keeper, but they only held the lead for six minutes before Albert Riera squared for Espanyol striker Luis Garcia to level.

Gimnastic had defender Cesar Navas sent off after six minutes for fouling Ruud van Nistelrooy on the edge of the area, but held their own until Br azilian substitute Robinho put away the Dutchman's miscued shot in the 56th minute.
Real squandered a host of chances against the league's leakiest defence before Raul's nearpost header was deflected into his own net by Nastic midfielder David Garcia in the 81st minute.

Zaragoza's Argentine striker Diego Milito chased a long punt to break clear and score in the 20th minute for his 18th goal of the season.
Atletico had their chances but slipped to their fourth consecutive away defeat against a direct rival for the European places.

Sevilla broke the deadlock in the 52nd minute when Celta's Gustavo Lopez handled in the area for a penalty. Mali striker Frederic Kanoute converted from the spot for his 19th of the season.
Celta lost Uruguayan midfielder Fabian Canobbio to a red card for a wild challenge in the 74th, and Sevilla's Russian striker Alexander Kerzhakov scored on the break in the last minute.
VILLARREAL 1 REAL SOCIEDAD 1
Sociedad were chasing their first away win of the season and took the lead when Br azilian forward Savio scored from a flicked-on long throw in the 40th minute.
Villarreal levelled through midfielder Josico with a header from a corner in the 59th and had midfielder Cani sent off 11 minutes from time.

Bilbao remain deep in relegation trouble after this full-blooded northern derby. Midfielder Inaki Munoz put Osasuna ahead from the penalty spot in the 29th minute after Roberto Soldado went down in the area.
Midfielder David Lopez extended the lead with a long-range shot in the 47th and defender Jose Izquierdo scored an outstanding individual effort in the 71st. Bilbao had striker Aritz Aduriz sent off at the end.

Mallorca stormed into the lead with two almost identical goals in the first three minutes. Ariel Ibagaza's corner from the right was headed home by Argentine midfielder Guillermo Pereyra inside the first minute.
Another Ibagaza corner from the right was headed goalwards and stopped on the line by the keeper, but Venezuelan forward Juan Arango knocked in the rebound.
RECREATIVO HUELVA 0 BARCELONA 4
Cameroon striker Samuel Eto'o surprised Recreativo with a long-range shot after three minutes and a swift passing move in the 40th ended with Italian defender Gianluca Zambrotta adding the second.
Silvinho crossed for Eto'o to volley the third two minutes later. Argentine forward Lionel Messi dribbled past three defenders with four minutes left to wrap up Barca's first away win in the league since November.

Valencia had only lost once at home all season but were chasing the game from the 20th minute when Nikola Zigic's knock down was volleyed in by Pedro Munitis.
Munitis provided the corner for defender Oriol to head the second at the near post in the 63rd.
