Reinier noted how he plays ‘without pressure and with a smile’ at Frosinone and underlined his dream of playing for Real Madrid one day.
The 21-year-old Br azilian forward joined Los Blancos from Flamengo in January 2020 in a deal worth around €30m and has bounced around various clubs on loan over the last few years, spending time with Borussia Dortmund and Girona. He joined Frosinone on loan in the summer.
Reinier has impressed in the first few months of the new season in Italy, scoring two goals and providing two assists across six matches for Frosinone, who sit 12th in the table in their first season back in the topflight.
Speaking to AS via Gianluca Di Marzio, Reinier first discussed his decision to join Frosinone on loan in the summer.
"Together with my father and my agent we waited for the end of the transfer window to choose the right solution for me."
"My father told me that the Italian league would be the right one for me and for my football. In my head there is still the dream of returning to play for Real."
He spoke about his work with the Giallazzurri and coach Eusebio Di Francesco.
"I feel very comfortable here. Di Francesco has supported me and helped me since the first training session."
"He asks me to play without pressure and with a smile on my face, on the pitch I always know what I have to do. He asks to play the ball and always press the opponents. I’m improving and studying Italian."
Finally, Reinier spoke about his happiness living in Frosinone.
"The city is a small pearl that creates the perfect setting for its footballers. Everyone is in love with their team, they support it and support it continuously."
