It is finally pouring rain for a certain Reinier Jesus as Mario Cortegana has written for The Athletic that Real Madrid have agreed a deal for the 21-year-old former Girona loanee, who is all set to join the Serie A club Frosinone on loan for the rest of the season.
The reporter writes that the attacking midfielder was being chased by Girona once again but a new deal collapsed at the start of the summer.
Furthermore, the likes of Las Palmas and Alaves were interested as well and although the player had only thought of playing in Spain, he will travel to Italy today to complete the rest of the formalities.
Lastly, his deal with Frosinone is going to be a straightforward loan contract, with no option to buy.
It must be noted that despite being a Real Madrid player since January 2020, Reinier has never managed to play for the senior team.
In the summer of the same year, he was loaned out to Borussia Dortmund for two years, but the player returned with a solitary goal in 39 outings.
Last season, he played at Girona on loan and although the team looked to sign him again, negotiations faltered at the beginning of the summer.
As far as Real Madrid are concerned, the player was informed that he would not have a role under Carlo Ancelotti this season, meaning that this loan move presents a unique opportunity to broaden his horizons and gather valuable experience in a competitive league.
Serie A is renowned for its tactical complexity and defensive prowess, which could serve as the perfect testing ground for his skills.
The midfielder’s adaptability and willingness to learn will likely be put to the test, as he navigates a new footballing culture and strives to make a mark on Italian soil.
