Real Madrid are closely keeping an eye on Sevilla youngster Bryan Gil, who is currently on loan at SD Eibar.
Bryan Gil has been one of the rising stars in La Liga this season. The SD Eibar winger, who is currently on loan from Sevilla, has produced a host of quality performances so far, even becoming a critical attacking outlet for his team. And as per the latest report from Defensa Central, he has drawn attention from none other than Real Madrid.
The defending champions have been left impressed by Gil’s extraordinary ability to beat players almost anywhere on the pitch. Although the youngster has notched up only two goals in 12 matches, he has showcased immense potential and is more than capable of becoming the next big star in Spanish football. As a result, the winger is now under a close watch by the Real Madrid scouts.
A native of Cadiz, Gil is a product of the Sevilla youth academy, having initially joined them at the tender age of 11. He did make a slight breakthrough during the second half of the 2018/19 campaign, eventually leading to his promotion to the senior side in the summer of 2019.
Unfortunately for the 19-year-old, he could never really make an impact at Sevilla and was eventually shipped out to Leganes in January last year. But this season, Gil has enjoyed a rapid rise to prominence, having notched up almost 1,000 minutes in league football so far.
Although Gil’s tally of two goals in 12 matches may not raise a lot of eyebrows, the Eibar forward has averaged an impressive 2 key passes while attempting over dribbles per game – higher than anyone else in the team. And Real Madrid, it seems, have been quick to acknowledge his offensive contributions.
The fact that Zidane is preparing for a potential squad transition in the summer has already been documented as players like Eden Hazard and Karim Benzema head into the final phase of their respective careers. As such, the club has been linked with a move for another rising talent in Pepe of Gremio so it will be interesting to see whether or not Los Blancos can land deals to sign these unquestionably talented youngsters in the summer.
