Real Betis will reportedly look to sign cultured Real Madrid star Nacho in a Bosman move in the summer transfer window.
According to a report by Spanish outlet Fichajes, Nacho is the subject of interest from Real Betis. The Andalusian giants want to keep the cultured Real Madrid star in La Liga if he leaves Real Madrid. And the Spaniard is yet to commit his long-term future to the reigning La Liga champions.
Nacho has gone from strength to strength during his long and fruitful stint with Real Madrid thus far. The 33-year-old is a graduate of Real Madrid’s fabled La Fabrica setup. And while the veteran has never been the undisputed first-choice starter for Los Blancos, he has been a dependable performer.
The Spanish international can play across the backline while being a guarantor of producing error-free performances. He has turned out over 300 times for Real Madrid while chipping in with 16 goals and nine assists. But Nacho’s long-term Real Madrid future is uncertain, as he has entered the final year of his contract. Such a situation has captured the attention of Real Betis.
The Andalusian giants have made massive strides in the last few seasons, becoming regular European qualifiers. And the Verdiblancos will likely finish in the top six again in La Liga to seal European qualification for next season.
