Agent of Liverpool star Alberto Moreno has come out to confirm that Real Madrid have declared interest in his client, Express reports.
The 23-year-old saw his future in heavy doubt when he was dropped by former manager Brendan Rodgers in favour of summer Joe Gomez.
However, an injury to Gomez saw Moreno given another chance to impress as current boss Jurgen Klopp now sees him as the first choice right-back.
The La Liga giants are short of options in the role following an injury to star defender Marcelo during the 4-0 defeat to Barcelona last month.
His agent Javier Moya has revealed that Real have asked about a possible move for his services while hinting that further talks could be underway depending on the situation.
"It's logical that they ask about such an important player. They are asking about him," he said.
"If a team like Real Madrid speak with us and Liverpool are satisfied with the operation, they could talk."
It is still unsure whether the Spain international favours a move to the Bernabeu given that he previously declared his intentions to remain at Anfield.
He has now registered nine starts for his side this term and has so far managed to provide one Premier League assist.
