Speaking in an interview with ESPN, Atletico Madrid star Alvaro Morata has named Real Madrid ace Joselu as one of his three current favourite strikers in the game.
Joselu arrived at Real Madrid only last summer, joining on a season-long loan deal from RCD Espanyol, with a purchase option included in the operation.
The 33-year-old Spaniard has done quite well in his second stint as a Madridista, racking up six goals and a couple of assists from 19 appearances across all competitions.
Even though he is not a permanent fixture in the starting XI for Carlo Ancelotti, Joselu brings a lot of value to the team.
And, Morata, who happens to share the Spanish national team dressing room with Joselu, has named him as one of his three favourite strikers in the game currently.
"I will say Joselu, he’s also my teammate in the Spanish squad, Harry Kane, and Robert Lewandowski," Morata said.
Joselu, as mentioned earlier, has added value to the team be it as a starter or coming off the bench. As such, there has already been talk about making his switch permanent at the end of the season.
But, Real Madrid are yet to make a concrete decision on whether they will be retaining Joselu’s services beyond the current season or not.
