Former Real Madrid midfielder Steve McManaman believes the club need to sign a player like Kylian Mbappe to compensate for the loss of Cristiano Ronaldo.
Ronaldo’s big money summer move to Juventus has crippled Los Blancos’ attack who have failed to find the back of the net in their last four matches.
McManaman, who became the first Englishman to win the Champions League with Real, wants the club to break the bank for one of PSG’s Mbappe or Neymar.
When asked by MARCA if he could see the club signing either of PSG’s superstars, McManaman replied, "Of course it’s possible, everything is possible right now."
"I didn’t think that they would pay so much for Mbappe, but I didn’t think that Cristiano would leave Real Madrid either, but he has," he continued.
The 46-year-old feels 19-year-old Mbappe would be the better fit for the Madrid club due to his young age.
"Which would I prefer to play for Real Madrid right now? Mbappe," he stated.
"He’s younger, he’s 19-years-old and I think that’s why you can teach him more, he would be easier to bring."
Real Madrid will be hoping to break their goal-scoring drought this weekend when welcome Levante to the Bernabeu on Saturday.
