French midfielder is the fourth most expensive signing in Los Blancos history.
Aurelien Tchouameni has become the fourth most expensive signing in Real Madrid's history, irrespective of the variables that may apply in the future.
Only three players have been more expensive for Real Madrid: Gareth Bale (Tottenham, 2013), Eden Hazard (Chelsea, 2019) and Cristiano Ronaldo (Manchester United, 2009).
Next on the list is the latest Florentino Perez signing, with Los Blancos paying a fee of 80 million euros to secure Tchouameni.
Interestingly, next on the list is another player from the Principality club, Colombian James Rodriguez, who joined Real Madrid after the 2014 World Cup for 75 million euros.
Tchouameni is also confirmed as the most expensive midfielder in the club's history, ahead of Zinedine Zidane, for whom 73.5 million euros was paid in 2001, and Kaka, 65 million euros in 2009.
Eder Militao is the only defender to appear among the club's most expensive signings after arriving from Porto for 50 million euros.
