Real Madrid are all but certain to sign Kylian Mbappe from PSG in the summer, with the 25-year-old set to arrive on a free transfer.
Reports suggest that the announcement of the transfer is only a matter of time and that his mother and agent, Fayza Lamari, is already house-hunting in Madrid.
Mbappe’s addition will take this Real Madrid squad to another level, but it appears that the Frenchman does not wish to come alone from PSG in the summer.
As per El Chiringuito TV, Mbappe has asked Real Madrid to make an effort to sign his PSG teammate Achraf Hakimi as well.
Hakimi is no stranger to Real Madrid, with the Moroccan right-back having come through the ranks at the Spanish capital club’s academy and even winning the UEFA Champions League with the team during the 2017/18 season.
After two seasons on loan at Borussia Dortmund, Hakimi was sold to Inter Milan, from where he made his way to PSG and has thrived there.
During his time in Paris, Hakimi has forged a close bond with Mbappe, and it appears that the latter is eager to continue their partnership, having asked Real Madrid to look into the possibility of signing him.
It must be noted that Real Madrid have Hakimi on their radar as a reinforcement for the right-back position.
However, any move for him is being planned for 2026, when his contract with PSG expires, with the idea being that Dani Carvajal can continue to be the first-choice right-back for a couple more years.
Hakimi, for his part, would also be open to a return to the Santiago Bernabeu. However, it is unclear whether he would be willing to wait until 2026.
