Scottish champions Celtic are the frontrunners to sign Real Madrid's out-of-favour midfielder Thomas Gravesen, according to the player's agent John Sivebaek.
Newcastle boss Glenn Roeder is also interested in signing the 30-year-old former Everton player.
Gravesen is set to link up with the Denmark squad for the forthcoming Euro 2008 qualifier against Iceland and wants a speedy decision on his future.
"There is a good chance with Celtic and we will wait and see," Sivebaek told the Scottish Daily Mail.
"Everything is okay financially, although we have had quite similar talks with some other clubs."
"It now comes down to a decision club-to-club if they agree the transfer fee. There are still other clubs interested, but I think we will be getting a bit close within the next two days."
"We are working very hard on this."
"Hopefully, there will be a conclusion within 48 hours because Thomas has to join the national team."
Denmark will face Portugal on September 1 in a friendly before beginning their Euro 2008 qualifying campaign against Iceland on September 6.
