Real Madrid midfielder Thomas Gravesen admits he's keen on a move to Newcastle United.
"Newcastle are an excellent option. I know the team, the supporters and to be a team-mate of Michael Owen again will be a pleasure," the Dane told the Sunday Sun.
"I've followed their progress in Europe and I anticipate they will qualify for the UEFA Cup in the next few weeks."
But agent John Sivebaek insisted: "We are not a few days away from a deal. We are not that close."
"We are in discussions with four English clubs and trying to see what is possible."
Spurs lead the rival bidders, along with Middlesbrough and Gravesen's old club Everton.
