Champions League matches in Group G

Team news and probable line-ups for Tuesday's Champions League matches in Group G:

SPARTA PRAGUE v LAZIO

Level on five points apiece in third and fourth place, both sides are expected to attack as only a win will give them a chance of qualifying ahead of Besiktas.

Injuries to Jiri Nemec (knee) and Pavel Krmas (back), combined with a must-win situation for Sparta means coach Jiri Kotrba will field just one defensive midfielder for the first time.

Stopper Petr Johana is back from suspension, while striker Igor Gluscevic could return after ending a three-and-half-month goal drought in the Czech league.

Lazio prepare for the game in high spirits after beating Italian champions Juventus 2-0 at the weekend, though the victory claimed several casualties.

Injuries to strikers Claudio Lopez and Roberto Muzzi leave coach Roberto Mancini little back-up for his regular front two, Bernardo Corradi and Simone Inzaghi.

Midfielder Giuliano Giannichedda also limped off against Juve and should be replaced by Ousmane Dabo, while defender Sinisa Mihajlovic sits out the second game of an eight-match ban.

Probable teams:

Sparta: 29-Jaromir Blazek, 4-Pavel Pergl, 16-Tomas Huebschman, 17-Petr Johana, 3-Vladimir Labant, 8-Karel Poborsky, 15-Radoslav Kovac, 7-Lukas Zelenka, 10-Rastislav Michalik, 27-Igor Gluscevic, 14-Libor Sionko.

Lazio: 1-Angelo Peruzzi, 31-Jaap Stam, 23-Paolo Negro, 24-Fernando Couto, 19-Giuseppe Favalli, 14-Stefano Fiore, 4-Demetrio Albertini, 6-Ousmane Dabo, 10-Dejan Stankovic, 9-Bernardo Corradi, 21-Simone Inzaghi.

Referee: Lucilio Cardoso Cortez Batista (Portugal).

BESIKTAS v CHELSEA

Besiktas will have the support of around 52,000 local Turkish fans when this match kicks off at neutral Gelsenkirchen, the venue for this season's European Cup final. The match has been switched from Turkey following a recent spate of bombings there left 61 people dead.

Besiktas will be looking to repeat its 2-0 defeat of Chelsea two months ago, knowing that failure will cost them a place in the final 16, but they will be without midfielder Federico Giunti, suspended after three yellow cards this season.

Chelsea will be without injured strikers Hernan Crespo who has remained in London for treatment to a calf strain and Eidur Gudjohnsen (ankle).

Adrian Mutu, who last scored a goal Everton on November 1 is likely to start in attack with Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.

Cameroon midfielder Geremi, who played two seasons in Turkey, looks favourite to return to the side after missing Chelsea's 1-1 draw with Leeds on Saturday. Two midfielders Emmanuel Petit (knee) and Juan Sebastian Veron (back) are still out.

Probable teams:

Besiktas: 1- Oscar Cordoba, 2-Emre Asik, 5- Ronaldo Guiaro, 30- Antonio Zago, 71-Okan Koc, 3-Tayfur Havutcu, 67-Tumer Metin, 19-Ibrahim Uzumlez, 9-Daniel Pancu, 26-Ilhan Mansiz, 10-Sergen Yalcin.

Chelsea: 23-Carlo Cudicini, 2-Glen Johnson, 13-William Gallas, 26-John Terry, 18-Wayne Bridge, 14- Geremi, 8-Frank Lampard, 4- Claude Makelele, 11-Damien Duff, 7-Adrian Mutu, 9-Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.

Referee: Anders Frisk (Sweden).
