According to Valencia outlet Super Deporte, Villarreal have reached an agreement with Real Madrid for 50% of Cheryshev's transfer rights for around the sum of 6-8 million euros.
Negotiations between both clubs have come to an accordance after Real Madrid's pretensions of 8 millions, whereas Villarreal offered 6 millions. If Cheryshev is sold in the future by Villarreal, Madrid will earn half of the sale in such hypothetical scenario.
It is understood that Cheryshev was in the top of Marcelino's priority despite the interest on players like Sarabia and Kostic.
Cheryshev is currently recovering from a hamstring injury that prevented him from participating in the 2016 Euro with Russia.
