In an interview with the Argentine newspaper Ole (h/t SPORT), La Liga president Javier Tebas confidently anticipated the forthcoming arrival of Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid.
He openly acknowledged the imminent strengthening of Real Madrid’s squad for the upcoming season, expressing his belief that the team would be formidable.
" Mbappe? At Real Madrid next year, next season. He is one of the best in the world, but hey, there are also Vinicius and Bellingham."
"Madrid is going to have a great squad. Of course that does not guarantee championships," he said.
Meanwhile, Tebas also commented that Mbappe now has the chance to finally win the UEFA Champions League, a title he has never won at Paris Saint-Germain.
"Man, if you’ve signed five seasons of contract, you’ve got five seasons of opportunities to win it."
It should be duly noted that this is not the initial instance Tebas has openly conveyed his joy regarding Mbappe’s prospective arrival at Real Madrid.
Despite any controversial reputation he may hold, Tebas and La Liga stand poised to substantially bolster their financial prowess with the addition of the French World Cup winner to the ranks of the Spanish capital club.
"We have a great competition and we bring in players. And new players always appear."
"At Barça I already saw Yamal as a boy, Pedri and Gavi. And at Madrid, Vinicius, Bellingham and what’s next is Mbappe."
Lastly, the La Liga president shared his thoughts on Real Madrid’s several comeback wins, saying that it is a mark of champions.
"The epic is something that you could say is inside Real Madrid because it happens season after season.
It is becoming champion of the issues. Sometimes they do not get everything, but most of the time theywins. This marks a little bit of validity of LaLiga, doesn’t it?"
