Gareth Bale wants to be compared to Real Madrid greats Zinedine Zidane, Ferenc Puskas and Alfredo Di Stefano at the end of his career.
The 24-year old Welsh winger became the world’s most expensive footballer when Madrid paid Tottenham £85.3million for his services late in the transfer window and he now hopes to repay that faith by becoming a star of the Spanish club.
"There have been the likes of Zidane and obviously the previous ones, which were a bit before my time, like Puskas and Di Stefano," he said.
"There are lot of players who have been unbelievable here, world class and legends of the game. Hopefully, I can become the player I want to be, and hopefully be in that league."
