Serie A duo AC Milan and Juventus are interested in signing Isco from Real Madrid in the January transfer window.
According to a report by Italian outlet Calciomercato, Isco is getting increasingly exasperated over his situation at Real Madrid. And a winter exit could be on the cards for the Spanish midfielder, who is being tracked by Serie A duo AC Milan and Juventus over a move in the January transfer window.
Isco joined Real Madrid from Malaga in the summer of 2013 and has since endured a roller-coaster of a ride at the Santiago Bernabeu. While the 29-year-old has often shown flashes of brilliance, he has never quite been able to nail down a spot as the first-choice option under any of the manager, owing to the presence of Luka Modric and Toni Kroos.
Nevertheless, the Spaniard has still featured a fair bit for Real Madrid, racking up 339 appearances for the Spanish giants while chipping in with 51 goals and 56 assists along the way. As things stand, though, Isco is merely a backup option for Carlo Ancelotti, and things seem to have reached a head for the player, who wishes to seal a winter exit from Real Madrid.
There is no shortage of suitors in pursuit of the Spanish international either, with much of the interest stemming from Serie A, as far as the January transfer window is concerned. AC Milan and Juventus are keen on signing Isco from Real Madrid.
AC Milan failed to sign a permanent replacement for Hakan Calhanoglu in the summer transfer window, while Junior Messias, who is on loan from FC Crotone, is already 30. In addition, the uncertainty surrounding Franck Kessie is further putting the Rossoneri in a precarious situation, which is why they need to sign a midfielder, making Isco a viable target.
Juventus, on the other hand, brought in Manuel Locatelli in the summer transfer window, with the Italian international set to be a long-term solution in the middle of the park for the Bianconeri. However, Aaron Ramsey does not seem to be a major part of Massimiliano Allegri’s plans while the likes of Rodrigo Bentancur, Weston McKennie and Arthur have not impressed much lately.
So, it is not too surprising that Juventus continue to be in pursuit of Isco, having made previous attempts to swoop him away from Real Madrid. And Juventus, along with Serie A rivals AC Milan are both hoping to land the Merengues’ outcast in January. With that in mind, it remains to be seen if Isco’s travails at Real Madrid reach an end this winter or if he ends up staying put till next summer.
