The Italian tactician has been linked to become A Canarinha's boss ever since Tite was relieved from his duties back in December.
After over six months without a first-team coach, Br azil have reportedly agreed terms to sign the man who will replace Tite as their boss. Unfortunately for the South Americans, the man will not be available to be in their dugout until June 2024.
A report by Globoesporte revealed that Carlo Ancelotti will be joining A Canarinha in 2024, but he will only do so once his deal with Real Madrid comes to an end. The team and the manager have agreed all terms to sign the contract, and the Spanish club gave its green light to see "Carletto" becoming the Br azilian side's next manager. Nevertheless, neither Ancelotti or the Br azilian Football Confederation (CBF) will make any statement on their bond until January 2024.
The Br azilian media outlet added that the coach and the CBF have already agreed a plan to ease this transition before Ancelotti takes over. The plan would involve one of Ancelotti's staff members to work closely with interim boss Ramon Menezes until the end of his deal with Real Madrid, so the Italian tactician can get a close look at what is going on with the Verdeamarelha side before he joins them full time.
Ancelotti has repeatedly stated that Real Madrid will be the last club he will ever coach, but joining a national team has been part of the discussion before the 2022 World Cup. Br azil approached him to take over in January, but Ancelotti decided to honor his deal with Los Merengues before signing a deal with Br azil.
Now, as informed by Globoesporte's Luis Roberto, Ancelotti is set to join Br azil permanently in 2024, with only the aforementioned details to be sorted out.
Ancelotti has already made history by winning at least one league title in all of Europe's top five leagues. Will he accomplish the same level of success with the Br azilian national team?
