According to reports in Spain, a 20-year-old is finalising an "imminent" departure from Real Madrid this summer.
Real Madrid must be cutthroat in their decision making this summer. Unfortunately, Spanish reports now indicate that another Real Madrid Castilla player could leave the club, with Alvaro Rodriguez now seeking an "imminent departure" from the club.
Alvaro Rodriguez has struggled to guarantee game time for himself at Real Madrid. Despite being one of the best players in the academy under Real Madrid legend Raul, the starting eleven has now moved on without him and it'll be even harder for the forward to get game time under the likes of Kylian Mbappe.
So, despite not securing his next move, it looks likely that Alvaro Rodriguez will move away from Real Madrid this summer transfer window, at least if Spanish reports are anything to go by.
According to MARCA, the departure from Alvaro Rodriguez seems "imminent". Therefore, it is a case of when, not if. The Spanish outlet claims that he is now finalising the final details of his exit from Real Madrid.
Alvaro Rodriguez leaving Real Madrid is unfortunate but it simply must be the case. The Spanish striker was not able to prove himself in pre-season, despite the great opportunity. This is because he became injured during pre-season, which was certainly unfortunate timing for the youngster
In the past, Carlo Ancelotti has got some good use out of Alvaro Rodriguez in the first team. However, due to the star-studded quality of Real Madrid, which has only increased this season given the new signings, Alvaro has not been able to stake a consistent claim in the starting eleven. Joselu's form last campaign did not help and introducing Kylian Mbappe this season certainly will not help.
