The physical trainer will be a member of Ancelotti’s staff this season, according to reports from Spain.
Former Real Madrid physical trainer Antonio Pintus is set to return to the club this summer after spending the last two seasons with Inter Milan. Pintus, who was in charge of Madrid’s physical preparation during the legendary Champions League threepeat, will be back in the Spanish capital after Antonio Conte’s departure from Inter.
Pintus is a fan favorite and it’s true that Real Madrid didn’t suffer as many injuries during his tenure with the club. The physical condition of most of the players was notable and his return to Madrid could be useful given the amount of injuries Los Blancos have had this past season.
Furthermore, Pintus is a respected man inside Real Madrid’s dressing room. The players love him and a few years ago Marcelo celebrated with him after scoring a goal against Viktoria Plzen.
Pintus’ return is yet to be confirmed but reports from the Spanish press seem certain, even if he hasn’t worked with new coach Carlo Ancelotti in the past.
