The series of departures of youngsters from Real Madrid continues as midfield prodigy Mario Martin has completed a loan switch to La Liga club Real Valladolid.
"Real Madrid CF and Real Valladolid have agreed to loan player Mario Martín for this season, until June 30, 2025," the statement from the club read.
Martin, 20, has been in and around the first team for some time now and has managed to make an impression on Carlo Ancelotti and his coaching staff. However, given the competition for places, he has never really got a regular run in the side.
The Spanish starlet was also a part of the pre-season tour of the USA this summer and he impressed against big teams.
As such, there were speculations that Martin could be included in the first-team squad this season but instead Real Madrid have opted to loan him out to help him gather experience in the top flight.
Now, Martin has secured a loan move to Valladolid where he will spend the rest of the ongoing season hoping to perform well and earn a place in Ancelotti’s plans next season.
The loan agreement does not include a purchase option for the end of the campaign.
The midfielder becomes the latest talent to leave the club this summer following the likes of Alex Jimenez, Marvin Park, Juanmi Latasa, Rafa Marin, and Rafa Obrador.
