Juventus are thought to be interested in Real Madrid’s Mateo Kovacic, but he could cost up to €55m.
The Croatian attacking midfielder has Serie A experience after his time with Inter, and made just 10 Liga starts this season.
Massimiliano Allegri has identified Kovacic as a player he likes, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, but Madrid would demand at least €50m.
That means a deal is only likely if Sami Khedira joins Liverpool, or Miralem Pjanic joins Paris Saint-Germain.
The Bianconeri are also expected to meet Genoa again at today’s Lega Serie A meeting to discuss Mattia Perin, the goalkeeper they are trying to sign.
