Emre Can is desperate to join Real Madrid in the summer when his Liverpool contract expires, according to reports.
The German international’s current deal with the Reds will expire at the end of the season.
It will mean that Can will be able to leave Anfield for another club for nothing.
He has already turned down a contract earlier in the term and it looks inevitable that his time at Liverpool is coming to an end.
Juventus have been heavily linked with the former Leverkusen star, and see him as the natural successor to Sami Khedira.
His technical ability on the ball and his versatility are some of his key attributes, as well as his penchant for the spectacular such as his overhead kick against Watford last season.
But according to Don Balon, the 24-year-old wants to join Zinedine Zidane at the Bernabeu.
The report goes on to state that a squad overhaul is expected at Los Blancos this summer.
A number of key stars could depart including Luka Modric, Keylor Navas and Gareth Bale.
And Can sees himself as the perfect candidate to replace Modric in the starting XI, report Don Balon.
There are also doubts over Toni Kroos and Mateo Kovacic staying at the club, with the latter attracting attention from Manchester United and both Milan clubs.
French boss Zidane will see Can as a great addition, as he will cost nothing except signing-on fees.
It means that he will be able to use funds made by selling stars on other top targets such as Eden Hazard and Harry Kane.
Meanwhile, Can has revealed there will be no contract talks until the end of the season.
He said: “My agent has blocked all negotiations, I’m thinking only of football.”
