Primera Liga reports

Brief reports of matches played in the Primera Liga on Sunday:

ALMERIA 0 ATLETICO MADRID 0

Atletico's Argentine goalkeeper Leo Franco saved a penalty from Felipe Melo after 31 minutes and Almeria hit the bar and post as they dominated. Atletico almost got a win at the end when Antonio Lopez's free kick hit the crossbar.

DEPORTIVO CORUNA 0 RACING SANTANDER 1

Depor peppered the visitors' goal with shots but were caught by a sucker punch in the 69th minute when Pedro Munitis broke down the left and crossed for Congolese striker Mohamed Tchite to score at the near post.

Depor had Br azilian defender Filipe sent off at the end.

ESPANYOL 2 ATHLETIC BILBAO 1

Midfielder Igor Gabilondo gave Bilbao a second-minute lead from a knockdown at a free kick but Spain duo Albert Riera and Raul Tamudo combined for the equaliser in the 40th when Tamudo steered in the winger's cross at the near post.

Bilbao defender Aitor Ocio stuck out a leg to cut out a long ball and inadvertently hoisted it over his own keeper for the winner in the last minute. Espanyol had Daniel Jarque sent off at the end.

REAL BETIS 2 REAL ZARAGOZA 1

Argentine midfielder Andres D'Alessandro curled a free kick round the wall to put Zaragoza ahead in the 35th minute but Real fought back to secure their first win in six games and ease the pressure on coach Hector Cuper.

Argentine striker Mariano Pavone put away Edu's pass in the 80th minute and bundled in Edu's backpost header from close range for the winner in the last minute.

REAL MADRID 4 REAL MALLORCA 3

Dutchman Ruud van Nistelrooy struck the winner in the 73rd to maintain Real's 100 percent home record in a goal bonanza at the Bernabeu.

Br azilian forward Robinho headed Real in front after 12 minutes but Mallorca's Fernando Varela levelled two minutes later.

Robinho spun to score his second in the 17th but once again Varela equalised with a stunning 25-metre drive in the 37th.

Daniel Guiza made the most of an error to put Mallorca in front after 59 minutes, but a few minutes later Robinho set up Raul for Real's equaliser. Van Nistelrooy then sealed the comeback win.

RECREATIVO HUELVA 1 OSASUNA 0

Recre coach Victor Munoz was feeling the heat after six games without his side even scoring a goal but Portuguese midfielder Carlos Martins put them in front from outside the area in the 70th minute.

They survived the sending off of midfielder Gerard in the 82nd minute to hold on for their first win in seven.

REAL VALLADOLID 1 LEVANTE 0

Valladolid secured their first home win of the campaign with a spectacular hooked shot from Jonathan Sesma in the 64th minute. Levante have yet to record a point away from home this season.

VILLARREAL 3 SEVILLA 2

Mexican striker Guillermo Franco headed Villarreal into the lead from a Marcos Senna freekick after 31 minutes but three minutes later Luis Fabiano crossed for Mali striker Frederic Kanoute to equalise.

Sevilla had Daniel Alves sent off a minute before the break but took the lead when Br azilian Luis Fabiano reacted quickest to score at a corner in the 50th. Franco headed a second from another Senna free kick in the 68th.

Villarreal's Chilean midfielder Matias Fernandez won and scored a penalty four minutes from time.

GETAFE 2 BARCELONA 0

Getafe never let a lethargic Barca settle and took the lead when striker Manuel del Moral scored from a knockdown at a free kick in the 28th minute.

The visitors' poor away form continued to dog them and they lost Italy full back Gianluca Zambrotta to a straight red card in the 86th. Uruguayan midfielder Juan Albin sealed Getafe's third successive win in the last minute.

VALENCIA 3 REAL MURCIA 0

Dutch coach Ronald Koeman's first league game in charge was made easier when defender Ivan Helguera headed Valencia's opener from a David Silva free kick after 12 minutes.

David Albelda put Spain striker David Villa clean through for the second goal after 26 and Silva hooked Albelda's long pass into the path of Villa for the third in the 50th.

The win ended Valencia's run of four consecutive home defeats in all competitions.
