On Wednesday, July 10, Real Madrid revealed the new jersey numbers for several players, including new signing Kylian Mbappe. However, there was a noticeable omission: Endrick, a young Br azilian talent, was not included in this announcement.
According to Mundo Deportivo, the reason for Endrick’s absence is due to his age. As he is not yet 18, he cannot sign his professional contract with Real Madrid and, therefore, does not have an assigned jersey number yet.
Endrick will turn 18 on July 21 and on that day, he is expected to sign his professional contract with Real Madrid, which will keep him at the club until 2027, with an option to extend it until 2030.
Endrick initially signed with Real Madrid back in 2022 when he was just 16 years old. Since then, he has remained at Palmeiras, waiting until he reached the eligible age to join Real Madrid’s first team.
Meanwhile, it is said that the official presentation of Endrick by Real Madrid is set for July 26 and for now, it is not yet clear whether his jersey number will be revealed on that day or if the club will announce it beforehand.
There’s speculation that he might wear the number 16, which he has worn earlier in his career.
In other news, Real Madrid have confirmed that Mbappe will wear the number 9 jersey. This iconic number has a storied history at the club and is often associated with star players.
Federico Valverde will take over the number 8 shirt, a number previously worn by the recently retired Toni Kroos.
Additionally, Arda Guler, who wore number 24 last season, will switch to number 15, which was previously worn by Federico Valverde.
Eduardo Camavinga will also don a new number, taking on the number 6 jersey, which belonged to the former club captain Nacho Fernandez.
Aurelien Tchouameni will now wear the number 14, moving from his previous number 18. The number 18 will be passed on to Jesus Vallejo, who is returning to Real Madrid after a loan spell.
