This comes amid a fresh insight into the penalty fiasco stemming from the club’s weekend meeting with Girona.
Real, of course, took a significant step towards reclaiming the La Liga title this past Saturday, in running riot en route to a 4-0 drubbing of 2nd-placed Girona.
Late in proceedings at the Santiago Bernabéu, however, Los Blancos blew a golden opportunity to add even further gloss to the scoreline.
This came upon frontman Joselu fluffing his lines from the penalty spot, rattling the post from 12 yards.
Post-match, many of a Real persuasion made clear their disappointment with the situation, after Joselu was spotted ignoring the pleas of his teammates to hand the spot-kick to teammate Arda Güler.
Yet to open his account in the colours of the club, amid what has proven a difficult start to life all told in Spain, the 18-year-old was therefore understandably keen to step up.
And, as has since been revealed by DAZN (as cited by Marca) in the game’s aftermath, the likes of Aurélien Tchouaméni and Eduardo Camavinga were joined in their efforts to convince Joselu to afford responsibility to Güler by none other than head coach Carlo Ancelotti.
Upon the former making his way towards the penalty spot with the ball in his hands, Ancelotti was heard calling out to Dani Carvajal that Güler should step up.
Assistant boss Davide Ancelotti quickly intervened, though, urging his father to return to the bench with Joselu already in position.
And, despite word having never actually reached the frontman that his young teammate was the preferred candidate of his manager, Real Madrid’s fans, as alluded to above, have nevertheless seen it fit to take firm at Joselu on Monday night.
