Real Madrid announced new deals for Marcelo and Isco Alarcon this week and three more players —plus coach Zinedine Zidane— will sign their contract extension in the upcoming days.
The first one of them is Dani Carvajal. The Spanish right-back is under contract through 2020 and yet Real Madrid want to make sure he stays. Carvajal earned the undisputed role as a starter even after the club signed Danilo two years ago to compete with him and deserves a new contract. He’s still 25 and could be one of the team’s captains in the future.
Benzema is also set for a new deal. The French attacker will turn 30 years old this winter and whether the fans like him or not he is most likely going to spend the rest of his prime with the club. Zidane considers him a huge asset who helps the team’s collective play and president Florentino Perez agrees. His current deal expires in 2019 so don’t be surprised if he signs a new deal through 2021.
Last but not least, Marco Asensio. The club want to give him a better salary and also increase his release clause significantly. His current deal expires in 2022 and yet it doesn’t reflect how big of a player Asensio can be —and already is—, so Los Blancos want to reward the Spanish playmaker and show him that he is expected to be the team’s leader in the future.
